It's one thing to talk about cutting 100 billion from the federal budget but quite another to specify where those cuts are coming from. It will be fun to watch as the 112th congress gets specific. I think we could begin to see a little voters remorse as cuts as high as 30% are proposed. Defense spending has been taken off the table meaning other areas will bear the brunt of the sacrifice. Another fun thing to watch will be the vote on raising the debt ceiling. Between these two items our new congressmen will have the ability to stall our fragile recovery. Double dip recession anyone?
