Obama finally gets mad

The left has been waiting for this for a long time. I've been waiting for this since he took office. The power of the presidency is the power of a bully pulpit, the opportunity to direct and guide public discourse forcing conversations to take place when inaction is the preferred action. Obama shies away from confrontation instead preferring negotiation with an adversary who has stated that their number one goal is to make him a one-term president. His liberal base has been longing to see a little fire. Get mad at obstructionist, go public with the disagreements, force them to take public stands and choose sides. Wall Street or Main Street. It's finally happened- Obama got mad! Only problem is he's mad at his supporters for failing to accept that the tax compromise was the best he could do. He's mad alright. Picking on your base might not be the best move he has right now, but it seems to be all he has - especially since he just sold his balls to the Republicans and put them in charge of the next two years of his Presidency. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
