If technolgy is the answer, what's the question?

The debate about the future of public education is closely tied to discussions about the use of technology in the classroom. Large amounts of money have been invested in putting computers in classrooms, purchasing mobile labs, smartboards, student pads and outfitting schools with wireless systems. Hardware is a small part of the cost as each computer or network must be loaded with the latest software which requires constant updates and let's not forget virus protection which can cost a school district several hundred thousand dollars each year.
