Speaking for Obama

Seth,

Awesome, man! I didn't know you were with Big Joe. I'm not an old man but I'm definitely not young. It's great to see you and your brother so involved. It's good to see the younger people take this much interest in the future of our country. This is a turning point in our history. The excitement around this election is palpable. Barack and Big Joe will bring it home this year! I know I'm speaking in hyperbole but this election is huge. McCain--yeah, he's a very honorable man in my opinion but his political views are not in tune with the majority of America and his vision is archaic and shortsighted. Palin--can you say fascist? McCain and Palin focus on fear and drive the public to act on that fear. Fear of a crumbling economy, fear of threats from terrorists, fear of a morally decadent society...FEAR. One of the greatest Democrats--FDR, if not the greatest ever, believed that this nation has nothing to fear. "The only thing to fear is fear itself." We are a people of rationalism--of intellectualism--of creativity and determination. Never to be driven to blindly follow a leader that prays upon those fears and sensationalizes them. I see the similarities between FDR and Barack. It is time for the Third New Deal. "Throughout the nation men and women, forgotten in the political philosophy of the Government, look to us here for guidance and for more equitable opportunity to share in the distribution of national wealth… I pledge you, I pledge myself to a new deal for the American people… This is more than a political campaign. It is a call to arms."--FDR.

Respectfully,

Keith Davis
