Obama Heckled In Florida
Via Marc Ambinder

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- Provocative hecklers associated with an international African socialist collective interrupted Obama's opening remarks here... Obama calmed then down by promising he'd take their questions during a Q and A, and an Obama supporter grabbed the banner away. The banner the hecklers unfurled asks, "What about the Black community, Obama?"

Once again rightisalwaysbetter, this comment has nothing to do with the specific post, but I will add my thoughts since you feel this is something important.

If you watched any of the actual coverage of the town hall meeting the men were given an opportunity to speak, and were interviewed afterwards. Their main remarks were that Obama did not mention Katrina, Jenna Six, and other race issues enough. They feel like he should be speaking out about the black community more. The problem is Obama is running a campaign as an American, not an African-American. He is talking about issues that all Americans are dealing with. The same person being interviewed also stated that he believes Obama to be more conservative than McCain on some issues. Since I know you wouldn't believe that since you appear to be in love with conservative ideas, I doubt you would give this guy much credit. You believe it looks bad on Obama, so you think it is worth being brought up. Truth is, it was an ignorant voter that was upset about a few issues really important to him. Once again thanks for your comment, but next time actually read the post and make a relative comment,

Thanks,
Seth Lovell
